Massage

After your consultation, your therapist will ask the following to best prepare for your massage experience

  • Remove jewelry (especially necklaces, dangling earrings, bracelets and watches)
  • Turn off or silence phone
  • Undress to your comfort level. Most of our clients remove all but underwear.

* You will be completely covered underneath the blankets and proper draping techniques will be used to work on your chosen areas.*

  • Drink water
  • Stretch
  • Relax

Each treatment starts with a consultation with your therapist. Together, you will discuss what goals can be achieved in the time scheduled.

30 Min  – 2-3 areas will be focused on for the time given. Full body treatments are not achievable in a 30 min.

60 or 90 Min – You may choose between a Full Body or Focused approach.

  • Full Body: Light/medium pressure. Time is managed to work on all areas of the body for a relaxing experience with even and flowing techniques.
  • Focused: Medium/Firm pressure.  Time is managed to work on specific areas of the body for a more therapeutic experience. (ex. head, neck, back and shoulders only)

Note* Therapists cannot achieve the same results of a focused treatment during a full body.

We are able to talk, but please be aware that we are also focusing on our job at hand.

We find that we are the most productive when our clients are totally relaxed, mind and body.

That being said, we are happy to have light conversation if that helps.

Easy!

During Treatment:

Client: This feels nice, but I think my body could use a little (more/less) pressure in this area.

Therapist: No problem!

After Treatment:

Client: That was great! Next time, I think I would prefer a little (more/less) pressure overall.

Therapist: Absolutely! Thank you for letting me know

Please be kind as we learn to make adjustments with you. We are unable to feel what is too much or little according to your preference.

Waxing

  • Exfoliating the areas being waxed 1-2 days leading up to your appointment.
  • Accutane must be discontinued 6 months prior to scheduled appointment.
  • Do not schedule spray tan prior to appointment
  • Keep all waxed areas well hydrated
  • Exfoliate 2- 3 times a week to prevent irritation
  • Let hair grow until next appointment

Waxing actually pulls the hair from the follicle leaving the skin extremely smooth and free from stubble. Shaving trims and cuts the hair at a blunt angle, leaving stubble on the surface of the skin with a quick regrowth.

Waxing usually lasts 1.5 to 2 weeks and then you’ll start to see new growth. Each time you wax, your hair becomes weaker and more sparse.

It is imperative that you let your hair grow for 2 weeks prior to your waxing appointment.

That is the length of a grain of rice(1/4-1/2 inch long)

The longer you can wait, the better your result will be.

We use both hard (Mermaid Wax) and soft (Satin Smooth Zinc Oxide) for our facial and body waxing.

Our chosen waxes are high quality and professional products. Both have been very well received by our clients.

For all waxing, we may use a blend of hard and soft wax. We find that using both modalities helps to achieve a completely smooth result without compromising the skin.

Several things determine what wax would work best. These include but are not limited to: hair type, skin type, body temperature, hair growth pattern, skin resiliency, waxing frequency, general sensitivity, hydration levels, etc.

Most people get waxed every 2-4 weeks on average.

This is depending on the area of the body being waxed and each persons individual hair growth cycle.

We try to work quickly with high quality supplies to reduce pain as much as possible. Most people say it’s never as bad as they expected it to be.

If pain is an issue for you, we recommend ibuprofen 30-60 minutes prior to your appointment, not waxing too close to your menstrual cycle, and most importantly WAXING REGULARLY.

Yes, you can get waxed while you’re on your period.

We just ask that you wear a tampon or menstrual cup during bikini or brazilian waxing.

Dermaplaning

  • Please arrive to your appointment makeup free.
  • Avoid direct sun exposure 5-7 days prior to scheduled appointment.
  • Dermaplaning will not be completed if your skin is sunburned or if you have any open or broken skin.
  • Discontinue any manual or physical exfoliation 3-5 days prior to your appointment to avoid over exfoliation of the skin.
  • Discontinue use of Retinol-A or any similar products 7-14 days prior to appointment.
  • Accutane must be discontinued 6 months prior to scheduled appointment.
  • Avoid direct sun exposure for 48-72 hours post appointment.
  • Wear sunscreen daily.
  • Avoid use of exfoliation agents (AHA’s + BHA’s) for up to 7 days post appointment – this will reduce the risk of damaging your skin & causing it to be dry & flaky from over-exfoliation. Use a gentle cleanser to remove makeup and cleanse skin.
  • If you experience flaking – do not peel the skin. Instead, let it heal naturally & continue your daily cleansing, toning & moisturizing routine.

Dermaplaning is a method of exfoliation that consists of using blade tool to gently scrape off the top layer of dulling dead skin cells and peach fuzz. The purpose of a dermaplane facial treatment is to improve your skin’s texture and tone.

No Downtime

– It is a painless, non-invasive exfoliation treatment, allowing you to go back to your regular activities.

Great for all skin types

– You can use this treatment on any skin types: even sensitive skin. It is safe for a pregnant woman, and it can be combined with  peels.

Better absorption of skin care products

– This process increases the effectiveness of your skincare regimen. With the top layer removed, the skin can absorb products easier.

Anti-Aging Mechanism

The dermaplaning itself automatically makes your skin smoother and softer. Additionally, it triggers your body to increase collagen production, which helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Aids in Clearing Up and Preventing Acne

It will reduce your blemishes and prevent your pores from clogging. Your skin will absorb acne treatments much better, which will speed up the healing process.

You should at wait least 3-4 weeks in between sessions.

Dermaplane is a deep exfoliation, removing two or three weeks’ worth of dead skin each treatment. Give your skin time to resurface in between treatments.

NO! Your hair does not grow back faster, darker, or thicker.

Lash Lift & Tint

  • Avoid consuming caffeine prior to procedure to reduce eyelid fluttering.
  • Avoid using waterproof mascara for 2 days prior to your appointment – regular mascara is fine to use.
  • Arrive to your appointment completely free of eye makeup.
  • For best results leave your lashes untouched for 24 hours post procedure. This includes applying any mascara, curling your lashes, or exposing them to any type of water.
  • Avoid sleeping directly on your lashes for 24 hours post procedure.
  • Avoid pulling at your lashes – this can cause breakage & shedding.
  • For best results, steer clear of waterproof mascara for the life span of your lash lift – regular mascara is fine to use.
  • To remove any eye makeup post 24 hours of your procedure – please use a mild makeup remover and avoid vigorously rubbing your eyes

A lash lift curls your lash from base to tip so that you can see the full length.

The natural lashes are curled over and attached to the rod with an adhesive to set the lashes.

Once positioned correctly, a lifting lotion is applied to allow the lashes to mold around the curling rod, followed by a setting lotion that sets the lash shape.

Lash tinting makes your lashes appear fuller and longer with this quick service.

Tinting pigments are available in different colors customizable to your liking.

The “lift” generally has lasting effects of 8-10 weeks.

The “tint” generally has lasting effects of 2-4 weeks.

Both the lift & tint have varying results of longevity depending upon lifestyle and aftercare.
